Us so many years ago... 8 to be exact...

I know Valentines is over, but Ann Dee tagged me so here goes…
1. Where did you meet?
We met at the bus stop. We were going to school at Utah State and we met while waiting of the bus to shuttle us up to class. It was just after 7 in the morning and Mike asked me, “Do you know what time it is.” He was so smooth.
2. What was the first thought that went through your head when you met?
He’s got great dimples.
3. Do you remember what he was wearing?
Definitely – he was wearing jeans, a gray long sleeve shirt with a t-shirt over the top. He had his blue school bag on his shoulder with it crossing over his chest. I thought he was a babe.
4. Where was the first time you kissed this person?
We were in my apartment at Utah State after our second date… We just got back from seeing John Bytheway speak. There nothing like John Bytheway to set the mood.
5. How did he ask you out?
He remembered where I lived from our bus encounter and just stopped by one day. When he came by, I had just gotten out of the shower and was so embarrassed that I was in my robe and had wet hair. He asked me out for that night, but I already had another date. I was sad and thought about blowing off my other date, but decided not to. Then he asked me out for the next night and I was able to go.
6. Where did you go for your first date?
We went with Mike’s friends to a hockey game. The game was about an hour away and it was a blizzard outside. I remember thinking Mike was such a polite driver… (what happened to that man??) Afterwards we went to get ice cream blizzards. He asked me to share one with him and I thought “Yes, he wants to eat out of the same cup as me, he doesn’t think I’m disgusting.” We still share everything to this day.
7. How long did you know this person before you became a couple?
We were pretty much a couple from day one. I had been dating a few people regularly when I met Mike and was enjoying the freedom, but once we went out I knew I didn’t want to go out with anyone else ever again.
8. Has this person ever proposed to you?
Yes- but he owes me another proposal...
9. Do you and this person have kids together?
2 kids – one of each
10. Have you ever broken the law with this person?
Unfortunately yes. Many years ago, before we had kids, we went to see a movie. When the movie was over we decided we didn’t want to go home, so we snuck into another movie without paying. I still feel guilty about it 6 years later…
11. When was the first time you realized that you liked this person?
I liked him on our first date – but really liked him on our second.
12. Do you get along with any of the ex's of your partner?
Mike was a one girl man all growing up. He had one girlfriend for many years, but I’ve never had the chance to meet her. I’d like to think if I ever do meet her, we’d get along great. After all, the man has great taste in women.
13. Do you trust this person?
Very much so!
14. Do you see your partner in your future?
I married him and had children with him, so I’m thinking…. Yes. (Kind of a dumb question…)
15. What’s the most expensive thing this person has given you?
My mini van, baby!! Mike is a frugal guy and doesn’t like debt at all. I appreciate this quality very much. He decided he didn’t want debt for my car so we waited and saved up until he could buy it for me in cash. He came through just in time too – he bought it two days before Myles was born.
16. What is one thing he does that gets on your nerves?
After he runs (and this man runs hard and sweats a lot) he takes his sweaty work out clothes and piles them on top of the washing machine. Then he closes the door. When I open the door and go in the laundry room the stench knocks me over…
17. What is one thing you do that gets on his nerves?
There are many to pick from…When I’m sick I tend to cough a lot – especially at night. He tries to be nice about it at first, but after about 10 times of being woken up, he starts grunting loud and thrashing in the bed. I feel so guilty and try to hold it in, but I just can’t. Then, he starts trying to give me tips. My favorite is, “Just relax your throat – then you won’t cough…” He should have been a doctor.
18. Where do you see each other in 15 years from now?
Mike will be 45 and I’ll be 43. I hope we’ll have at least 4-5 kids - maybe 6 if Mike gets his way. Mike will most likely be bald and I’ll be all stretched out from having lots of kids!! It will be wonderful!
I TAG ...My twin sister Brooke because she had her anniversary on Valentines Day!! She has a cute new blog at http://hiatts4ever.blogspot.com/
I also tag Nina – this is my sad attempt to convince her to start a blog.
And really anyone else who wants to do it. I don't want to make anyone feel obligated, but I'm really tagging everyone.
