This whole being a mom thing...
I actually feel guilty many mornings that Mike has to get up and go to work while I get to stay home and do fun stuff with our offspring. Although, the guilt doesn't usually stay too long. It leaves as soon as someone poops out of their diaper, or someone spills milk on the floor I just cleaned... But overall, I definitely think I have the better end of the deal.
Here are some of the reasons I think I have a sweet gig....
**Every morning I am the last one out of bed. It's true. Mike usually sets up the two older kids with cereal and a TV show before he leaves for work. He gives me a kiss good-bye and I pull the covers over my head until Will wakes up. When the big kids hear Will up, they sprint into his room and jump into his crib with him. This usually entertains him for an additional 15-20 minutes while I get to stay all cozy under the covers and listen to them giggle in the monitor.
I love getting up and seeing my sleepy faced, bed-headed kids all crammed into the little crib.

**My big kids are getting old. We no longer watch "baby shows" as they call them. We've moved on. Now we watch Hannah Montana and all the other Disney crap that totally sucks you in. I don't know what it is about these shows, but it's like a terrible car accident. I don't want to look, but I can't peel my eyes away. We all get sucked in (even Mike, though he won't admit it :) They are also into The Sound of Music. This was my favorite movie as a kid, and I'm thrilled they love it as much as I did. Morgan walks around pretending to be Gretel and singing about her favorite things.
**Morgan came up to me and said, "Mom, you better hurry, I'm not joking, you need to call your local agent. You'll save a lot of money."
**It's awesome watching my kids be friends. They love each other as much as they hate each other. They can fight and do awful things to each other, but they don't allow anyone else to. Miles tackled another kid at the gym for wrinkling up Morgan artwork. I heard Morgan's damsel in distress scream, and then I heard Miles come to the rescue and yell, "that's my sisters" and the next thing I knew he took the kid to the mat.... Don't worry, he got in trouble, but inside I had to smile. They really love each other.

**Will loves to dance with me. He loves to grab my hair in his little fists and put his cheek on my cheek. Then we dance... I spend a good 30 minutes a day dancing with Will... I love that he'll dance with me to my sappy country love songs, (Mike just leaves the room in disgust wanting nothing to do with most of my music.) Although Will's favorite song is Imagine sung by the cast of Glee. He stays touching cheeks the entire time it plays, so I'm sure it's his favorite. It's now "our song".
**I've realized that a huge reason I am able to love being a mom so much is because of all the little things Mike does to make my life easier. It's easy to love being a mom when the kids have a dad that loves being a dad. I love you babe!
