Garlock Reunion 2019 - Albion, ID

It was the year of the transition...  The younger generation was handed the reigns and told to plan and execute the family reunion.  A committee was established 2 years prior, which Mike and I were apart of, and we planned this year's reunion.  Mike and I were in charge of finances, so we paid for everything up front and then collected at the end.  The location was awesome (easy drive for us), the food was great, and there was plenty to do the entire time.  The kids re-fell in love with all of their cousins.  

AF Canyon Half Marathon

So AnnDee called me on Friday and said, "for my birthday, will you run a race with me tomorrow?".

Ummm... YES! No need to ask me twice.  We was happy with our time for an impromptu half...  1:43 (7:55 min miles) . It was a downhill course which made it super fun!  Happy Birthday to AnnDee! Thanks for the invite.   

Summer Swimming

The little girls took swim lessons at the Whitney's again this summer.  They love it! 

The kids all combined some of their saved up money to get a family pass to the Farmington pool.  It's been fun to have somewhere to go this summer, and it's really fun now that Ivy's bigger and comfortable in the water.  We plan to go often!  💦 

We almost made it through the summer without a bad sunburn... But then his happened to Meg.  Oops!

This Is The Place Park

Since Mike was out of town on Morgan's birthday, Lori called and asked if she could take Ivy and Meg out so I could take Morgan to get her driver's permit.  It made my day!  What a thoughtful friend!  Here's the pictures she sent me from their time at This is the Place Park.  

Morgan turns 15!

It's a big year for Morgan...  High school, driving permit, and everything that comes along with it.  

She went to Applebee's with Grandma and Grandpa for lunch.  

The I took her to take her test for her driver's permit.  She passed!!  Now she can officially drive. TERRIFYING!  

Ivy thought fireworks were appropriate for the occasion.  I agree!!  

Youth Conference

Mike and Morgan went to youth conference this year.  After a devotional at the church, they headed to the Johnson's family cabin in Logan for swimming and games.  This is the only picture Mike got... He's in trouble 😤

I wanted to go too, but these people needed someone to take care of them, so I kept them alive until Mike and Morgan returned.  

Will turns 10!

Will is 10!  WHAT!  He went on the traditional birthday lunch with Grandma and Grandpa Beckstead to Costa Vida.  Good choice!

Then we went to dinner at.... you guessed it.... Red Robin.  😂 . I apparently wasn't good at taking pictures today... I need to go through Mike's phone.  Sometimes I ask him to snap a picture and then I forget to get them.  

Happy Birthday sweet Will!  You are one loved boy.

Morgan's Jazz Band California Trip

Morgan suffered through early morning Jazz Band practice all year with one prize in mind... The 9th grade Disneyland trip!  It finally came!  All these 9th graders loaded up on buses and took off for sunny California.  She had an amazing week, and I was relieved when she returned home safely.  It's strange having a child old enough to go off on adventures like this without us.  Good thing she is trustworthy and always makes good decisions!  I totally trust her and know she is a light everywhere she goes.
