Miles turns 16!

He’s been counting down for a long time!  

Miles is now a priest!

Birthday dinner with Grandma…. The whole family was invited. 

Then on his birthday we took dinner over to Grandma’s house to eat with her… and because there was a special birthday present hiding in the garage…

He had no idea!!  I think he was pretty happy about his birthday this year 😎

We feel in love with the car the second we found it (and it’s not easy finding a used car right now… with Covid and the economy hit, you can’t find a used car for a reasonable price… this popped up and we snatched it so fast!). I love the black and white mirrors 😍

Ivy’s Field Trip to Discovery Gateway

I got to chaperone the 1st graders on their field trip. I LOVE this age!!  This was Ivy’s first time on a school bus and she loved it!

MLK weekend

The kids had a 4 day weekend so we last minute booked a hotel in Park City.  Doesn’t that look relaxing by the pool 😎

We made a stop at the Pie for some pizza.  They even had Gluten Free Pizza 🍕 

Then we saw Sing 2.  I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was!

Ski bunnies

I thought I’d go my entire life without snow skiing, but Mike wasn’t going to let that happen.   When he got invited to Deer Valley for some work conference/get together, he invited me to tag along.  I wasn’t sure I wanted to, but he talked me into it.  

I spent the day on the bunny hills and had a great time!  The bunny hills are just my speed and I found it very enjoyable.  

Once I was comfortable, Mike left me and went on some big runs while I hung out following the kiddos in ski school for pointers.  I’d see Mike zoom by every now and then and I realized I’ll never be able to keep up with him.  Good thing I’m just fine with that. 

Some time with the Nadaulds

We went to watch Jake Nadauld play basketball, he’s killing it his senior year!  It’s always fun to see the Nadaulds.

Rose Bowl

The year started out with a bang!  Ohio State played the U of U Utes in the Rose Bowl.  We are surrounded by Ute fans in our ward, so it was especially fun to win this game.  It was especially funny when Mike conducted sacrament meeting the following day and the chorister had picked the hymn that says “Victory, Victory”, and when he got up after the hymn he said with a big smile, “No I didn’t pick the hymn today.” He loves to makes little jabs at Ute fans. (Esp this particular day since they were all so freshly sore and disappointed) 😂

Happy New Year!

Will and I were shopping at an adorable toy store called The Red Balloon and we saw these tiny little figures called Good Luck Minis. They are about the size of a Penny.  So, so cute!  After spending way too much time looking at every one, we narrowed it down to our favorites and got everyone in the family one for good luck in the New Year.  I’m dying! Aren’t they the cutest things ever!

This is the only picture I have from New Years…. The Hiatts came down with Covid so we ended up staying home.  It was really nice. Happy New Year!
