Miles turns 13!

I feel like Miles has been a teenager for a long time, so it didn't feel weird to have him officially become a teenager.  He is an absolute joy!  He makes us laugh all the time, he gets into just the right amount of mischief, and most importantly, he has such a good heart.  I love the person that he is and who he is becoming.  

He picked Applebee's for his birthday lunch with Grandma and Grandpa.  

Student of the month too!! What a guy :) 

Will goes skiing... kind of

Mike went with the YM on a skiing activity and took Will and Miles along.  All I know is Will HATES the snow and he HATES the cold.  I was surprised he wanted to go.  I wasn't surprised when I got a call from Will in the lodge telling me dad left him there and he was scared and all alone.  Apparently Mike had brought Will to the lodge and found him a warm spot and then handed him his phone and left (for a long time).  After a while Will got scared and called me in tears.  I felt so helpless.  I had no way to get ahold of Mike and Will was over an hour away so I couldn't do anything but just sit and talk to him.  Don't worry, Mike came back... eventually.  I wasn't very happy with him and he soon knew it.  😠Poor 9 year old Will.  It may have scarred him for life.  

Boondocks

For Christmas the kids (and the Hiatt cousins) got a day pass to Boondocks.  They spent hours running around playing laser tag, mini bowling, riding go-carts, etc.  It was a super fun day!
