Happy Valentines Day!

Valentines Day was a day full of love around here! When I saw all the stuffed animals at the store, I just had to pick one for each of the kids to go along with their traditional Mrs Cavanaugh's chocolate mindy mint heart.  (I would get one from my mom when I was growing up and I've done the same for my kids ever since we moved to Utah.)

Thoughtful Will used his money to buy me a Valentines Day present.  What a cute surprise.  He bought it and hid it in his closet until Valentines Day.  Awww!  Silk flowers and chocolates :)

Freaky!

So this happened....  I was talking to a man that came to estimate fixing the front bedroom windows, (they sound like they are going to fall off the house whenever there is any sort of wind! The rattling keeps the kids up at night and is so annoying!) and while we were talking Ivy was playing with Will's arm slinky-thingy...  (I don't remember what it's called).  While we were looking at the window frame, I heard a strange noise behind me and turned to see sparks flying out of the outlet.  Ivy had taken the slinky-thing and hung it like a necklace around the night night.  The metal prongs made contact with the medal slinky and the outlet was shooting fire out of it with Ivy sitting right there in front of it.  I don't know how Ivy wasn't hurt since she was holding the slinky when she put it around the night light, but I wouldn't be surprised with it had something to do with guardian angles. There are times when I truly feel that my kids have guardian angels surrounding them.  I also wouldn't be surprised if my Grandma and Grandpa Thomassen and Beckstead were among those angels.  If it was Ivy's angels looking out for her, you have this mama's heartfelt thanks and I will give you a hug for it someday!
