Will is FINALLY done with preschool!

Will just completed his 3rd year of preschool…  He's so ready to be done and move onto kindergarten.
I'm so glad he's had such an amazing teacher.  She definitely got these kids all ready for kindergarten.

Another cute end of year program.  Will was the weather boy…  They kids started chanting "what will the weather boy say today, what will the weather boy say today?"  Then Will walked over and looked up at the sky.  After looking around for a few seconds, he said, "partly cloudy".  It was adorable!

The graduation walk.

The diploma.

The proud papa.

The class.

The carpooling buddies…  Kindergarten, HERE HE COMES!

Morgan's letter to Ivy

I found this letter Morgan wrote to Ivy when I was pregnant with her.  Aww! Morgan has always been such a thoughtful big sister.  I'm so glad she's my oldest.  I took this picture May 27th, 2015, less than a week before Ivy was born.

Happy Mother's Day to Me!

I love Mother's Day more and more every year.  I just love it!
The day started out with breakfast in bed and Mike took care of getting the kids ready for church and tidying the house.
Me and all the little people that call me mom…

I love the homemade gifts they always make.  The day before Mother's Day, Morgan babysat Will and Meg while Mike was at school and I took Miles to his football game in the rain.  While I was gone, Morgan helped Meg and Will make this adorable card with their handprints.  She's the best babysitter around!!

Will made me this beautiful tissue paper flower bouquet at preschool.

Miles school class made necklaces… And they are actually really cute.  I love wearing it!

Morgan made this cute frame at achievement days.
Ahh…. I love being a mom to these kids!  Can't wait to add one more of them!  Then we'll be just perfect!

May so far….

My bump is getting bigger!  I can't believe I only have a few more weeks.  Mike and I both have been nesting like crazy.  The basement is officially done (except the decorating part) and the kids are all moved into their new rooms.  They love it down there!!!  I'm so relieved.  I wasn't sure how they'd really feel about it once they moved in, but they've all slept through the night for the 3 nights they've been down there.  So far, so good!

May has been fun (except the uncomfortable being 9 months pregnant part).
I went to lunch with some friends for my birthday…  MaryAnn and I showed up like twins :)

I got some pretty flowers from the in-laws for my birthday.  I LOVE having fresh flowers on the table!

The only birthday present I didn't like was the surprise haircut Will gave Meg…
They were playing on the side of the house and I guess someone left scissors by the garage…  Luckily I had been checking on them frequently that afternoon and I turned the corner right as I saw Will about to cut a huge clump off the side of her head.  I yelled "STOP" and Will immediately threw the scissors and ran….  When I went over to Meg she was just standing there all innocent wondering why I was upset at Will.  Poor little thing had no idea he was butchering her sweet blonde locks.

Will took some chunks from his own hair too… Stinker.  Here he is in bed - which is where he was for the afternoon!  I don't think that will ever happen again.  He knew he was in big trouble.  He didn't even try to come out of his room until I came in and let him out.

Some of the clumps I found around the scene of the crime….

Speaking of hair….  Morgan's hair is getting so long.  It's growing in fuller too.  I love it!  She's growing up into such a beautiful young lady!

I love this selfie she took with my phone.  So cute this girl!

Grandma's new knee...

About three weeks ago my mom had her knee replaced.  She has been in so much pain and it's been so hard for her to get around (although she didn't let it slow her down much! She kept up with all her mission activities even with all the pain).  New knees will be life changing for her.

The kids love making her cards and going to visit her.  She was in the hospital for a few days and then she was off to the rehab center where she was for a couple more weeks.

Two weeks in the rehab center is enough to make anyone bored out of their mind, but we tried to visit many times a week to keep her from getting too lonely.  The kids loved the unlimited fountain soda machine in the hallway and getting rides from Grandpa in the wheelchair.  They'd beg to visit grandma every day.  It was really convenient for us because the rehab center was less than 2 miles from our house.

The kids loved playing in Grandma's bed.  I warned her not to teach them that it moves up and down, but she didn't mind letting them take "rides" on her bed.  It seriously entertained them for a good hour every time we went.  That was great for us because we had some intense games of Mexican Train going on!!

Some days we'd meet up with the cousins and have lunch with Grandma.
I was surprised at how much they loved hanging out at the rehab center.

More bed rides :)

Grandma's doing great and she's home… At least for now.  She has her other knee surgery in a few weeks so we'll get to go back to visiting her at the rehab center…  Yay for the kids!  Not so much for Grandma.
But Grandma is really excited to have both knees done so she can get back to her usual active life.
Glad you're recovering so well Grandma!!  We love you!

Friends

A few days ago I heard Will and his friends yelling for me to come outside.  When I came out the door they all started laughing and saying, "we're fat like you!"…  Very funny boys….

This is Will's good buddy Nels.  They crack me up…. After I picked them up from preschool they buckled in the same seat… After a minute of them talking I heard Will say to Nels, "You smell like a funky old man."  Luckily Nels didn't take it personally and he started laughing.   Kids are just so honest, sometimes too honest :)

Morgan at a girls night…  She's getting so old!

Meg loves to play with her friend Matthew.  Last time he came over, he walked right into the corner of our counter.  Meg immediately was concerned and kept asking him if he was okay.  She even got him some ice and followed him around numbing his owies.   She's a good friend!

I think Matthew liked all the attention she was giving him over his bonk…. He may start doing that on purpose when he comes over :)

Meg and her cute friend that she calls EmmaBaugh playing in the rain.

Our little Meggie-Peggie

Meg loves taking walks while Will is at preschool…  She says "just the two of us!"
It won't be just the two of us for much longer Meggie.  Little sis will be tagging along in only 4 more weeks!!!

"Mom, look at that tree…. It's just my size"

She loved this little lady bug - perhaps she loved it a little too much.  It didn't move the same one she was done.  But she was sure to put it back so it could be with it's family.

Walks always wear her out!  I love my little Meggie!  She is at the best age.  Mike and I both say every night how much we love having her around.  Not only is she adorable, she is easy and fun and good natured.  Can she just stay this age forever??

How we roll when dad's out of town….

The girls sleep with mom on daddy's side of the bed….  shhh - the boys don't know :)
I love it.  They love it.  It's really the only upside to having daddy gone.
