Family Photos - Albion Basin

Family pictures stress me out!  Big time!  But when I saw Lori Romney's photography, I knew I had to have her take our pictures.  They turned out amazing!  I have more, but I'll post my favorites here.

This is my absolute favorite one with everyone all squished in!  

 

Covid Projects: Picture Stairway

We just had our family pictures taken and I LOVE how they turned out!  I love them so much I had to make a picture wall so I could look at them all the time. I love how it turned out!!  

Now I get to look at these every time I walk up or down the stairs. 😍😍 (and sometimes I walk up or down just to look at them 😉). 

Lori Romney was our photographer and I couldn’t have been more happy with her! 

1st Day of School year 2020

The kids started school today!  Kind of 😉

Schools in Utah are testing out a hybrid schedule.   The kids with last names starting with A-L go to in person learning on Monday and Wednesday.  Then they do online learning the other days.  It’s a good compromise! I’m glad they get to go to school and get instruction from teachers and then they come home knowing what to do on the home days.  It will be much better than all online like we were doing. 

(Mike took Miles to school and forgot to get a picture.... so sorry Miles... no first day of 9th grade picture of you 😬) 

Morgan’s a Junior this year - and she can drive!!  

Meg has Mrs Scott and is starting 3rd grade.  Notice her boot!  A couple of weeks ago she found out she has a stress fracture in her foot, so she is using the boot until it heals up. 

Will has Mr Cassler and is starting 5th grade.  It’s Will’s second time having Mr Cassler. (He had him in 3rd grade as well.) 

Ivy is our 4th child to have Miss Merrill for Kindergarten!   Yay!  She’s so ready!!  

This year will be interesting because the kids have to wear masks to school.   They are thrilled about it, but they actually are pretty good sports about it.  How cute is she in her mask!  😷 

Ivy has afternoon kindergarten so Mike and I take her for a little scooter ride and then drop her off at school.  It’s the best time of the day! 

Ivy has some fun friends in her class!  We love Sofie. 

Ivy was especially excited to get to walk home with the big kids.  I drove over to make sure they all found each other, and Ivy waved me on... She didn’t want a ride and she wanted me to go on home.  😂

COVID projects: Painting the house

We’ve wanted to paint for awhile, but we kept putting it off because it was just too overwhelming! We knew with our high ceilings, painting would be a huge challenge.  We were right! But we finally got the main level and both stairways done (going up and down).  We will get to the bedrooms eventually. But the hard part is done!  

Some of the spaces we had to get to were a bit scary!  It doesn’t look scary in pictures, but both Mike and I were sweating out of fear up on those ladders.  

The final gray color in the TV room...  and I managed to get someone throwing down more blankets 😂

We went with Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter.  I love it! 

The hardest part of the week may have been painfing the raised in ceiling in the TV room.  It was painted the color of the walls and so we had to paint it.  We decided to paint it white to match the rest of the ceilings.  It was almost an impossible job!  A million times harder than it looks because you couldn’t reach the middle on the ladder.  Mike had to roll it from the ground 😳

We still have more of the house to do, but I’m putting the rollers away for a much needed break!
