On Feb 3rd (so 4 days after his birthday) we were pulling up to the house with the kids in the car when I noticed the garage door was poking out… I said “what happened to the garage?”. Mike and I looked at Miles who quickly hung his head in shame. His response was “I didn’t think you’d notice”. REALLY? 😂 Then, as if it was going to make it any better he said, “but it still goes up and down!”.
It turns out as he was hurrying to school he just forgot to open the garage before backing the car out…. Oops.
Fortunately Will threw his basketball at it from the other side and the garage door popped back in. 😂 So now we live with it like this.
Fast forward to March 11th…. Miles goes to Club V for basketball practice and came out to fresh snow all over his car. Who needs to wipe off their windows so they can see out? Not Miles…. Well at least he thought that until he backed into a parked car. Oops. Then after clearing things up with the owner of the other car, he drove home. Along the way a piece of the bumper blew off in the wind and was gone forever. Morgan is so ticked he was driving her car. Now she drives around like this. 😂 We should get her a sign that says "my brother did it!".
Sometimes I get a little frustrated with this boy, but then whenever I’m around him I just can’t help but think he’s the most lovable boy around! Growing up by having-to-learn-the-hard-way is his mantra and though it can be super frustrating as parents, we couldn’t adore and love him any more.
(Picture of Miles taking care of the Goings birds… He let out the big mean parrot and ran home for oven mitts and protective clothing so he could get it back in it’s cage. My favorite memory was him FaceTiming me and screaming that the parrot was dive bombing him and he didn’t know what to do. Makes me chuckle every time I think about it.)
