Morgan the Aggie

This week has been bittersweet as we packed up and took Morgan up to Utah State. 😢

She is living in a cute little condo with her friend Bailey about 3 miles away from the stadium.  She’ll have a little commute each day, but hopefully it won’t be too bad. There are restaurants and a Walmart within 1/4 mile of her front door.

We got her unpacked and all settled.  Her room is so cute! 😍

It’s an end unit which is nice.

Just as we were leaving she realized she locked her keys in her car.  Oops!  I had to go back up in the morning to bring the spare key. 

So we had two drop off days.  😂

And this is just a picture to affirm how kids can sleep in the weirdest positions.  That makes my hamstrings feel pulled just looking at her. 

First Day of School

Cute Meg is in 5th grade with Mr Cassler.  She’s a little nervous about having a boy teacher, but she’s in for a great year!  Those shoes!!

Will’s starting 7th grade at Millcreek.  He’s a little nervous, but ready to move on.

Miles is a Junior at Bountiful High.  Junior year is hard, but he’s up for the task. Let’s do this!!  

Back to School Blessings

The night before school starts is always a special time.  Everyone is excited and nervous all at the same time.  Every year this is when Mike gives the kids each a priesthood blessing. I’m so grateful for Mike and how he presides over and leads our home.  Each child had a special blessing given unique to them.  It’s going to be a great year!

Water Ballooning Bishop Dehner’s Face 🎈 💦

Last night we had a neighborhood back to school party with our neighboring ward. We met at the park and had some awesome catered BBQ! 

Our amazing ward party coordinators planned a game for the primary kids…. Using a massive sling shot, they’d fire water balloons at Bishop Dehner & Bishop Bahrs face.  

Not their actual faces… but still fun. 

Steve Castleton was the mastermind behind the game.  It was a huge hit with the kids! The kids eventually made their way to the field and tried getting themselves hit with the balloons. One kid got hit square in the chest and immediately went to the fetal position.  Luckily he’s okay now 😂

I couldn’t resist taking a couple of shots. 

The Castletons have been an awesome addition to our ward/neighborhood!  We love them! 

Cute Ivy 🥰

This girl makes me smile everyday! She is fun, tender, quiet and out-going all at the same time.  

One night while I was dealing with some stomach pains Ivy was really concerned with making me feel better.  She went downstairs and made the list to make mommy feel better list 😂… it was too cute! 

(Translation: -mommy and I take off our shoes. -go upstairs and get in bed. -I scratch her back. -snuggle -then take a nap. -I go get the laptop so we can watch a movie.)   How could you not feel better after doing these things?  🥰

Ivy made a countdown for school and took off a number each day.  3 days to go!

But at least she labeled it… “Four birds” 😂

I have no idea what Miles is up to when he’s out with his friends. 🙄

Summer Youth Camp

Meg and Ivy went with the activity day girls to day camp at Camp Tracy…. A day full of fun! (Esp since they have the best activity days leader ever 🙋‍♀️) 

We met up with the boys from the ward for a hike.

Will had a couple of days with the Deacons at Anderson Cove. 

Mike and Miles had high adventure in Island Park with a day trip to Yellowstone.  

Great summer camps all around!
