Happy Valentines Day 😍

I’ve been using the mobile app Blogg to blog lately!  Best thing ever!   Only downside is it doesn’t upload the edited version of my pictures - so you have to turn your head to look at the next picture. Small price to pay for convenience! 

The kids woke up to their tradional mindy-mint heart from mom and donuts from dad. 

Meg decorated a cute box this year!  The dollar store has saved us and simplified our lives so many times over the years 😍

Will used this box again!  It has served both boys well and I’m glad I keep tucking it up in the closet. 😂

I went to help with Meg’s class party and it was, well,  a PARTY!  I was in charge of the treat and we had Cupid-floats 💘.  Big hit!  It’s a root beer float, but it’s made with cherry 7-up instead of root beer.  Very pink, and very Valentinesey.  Kids gave it 2 thumbs up.  👍👍 We even used licorice for straws. Clever! 

Meg gave out suckers with lips on the end for her Valentine.   So funny 😂 

Ivy gave out the same thing at preschool.  

Sweet Will always gives a Valentine to his Mama!  He even shopped for it and paid with his own money.   He’s always very thoughtful 🥰

Morgan has been taking French this year and came home with this adorable Valentine for the girls written in French.   She calls Meg a Petit Chou which means “little cabbage” and she says it’s is a term of endearment the French use. I may start using that myself.  I love it! 

Mike and I went to a couples cake decorating valentines party for our date night.  (Thanks Morgan for being our rockstar babysitter!)  The instructions were that we could bring 2 items to add to our cake and we should dress up to go with our theme.  

I got this cake topper for ours and hot glued this face mask on the bride....  do you know where we are going with ours yet?   

Here’s what we came up with.  Spread Love... Not the Coronavirus.  😂.  Our two props were hand sanitizer and the face-masked bride.

There were about 11 cakes in competition and guess who came away the winner and $100 richer!!!   Yup!  We rock! 

Miles and the game of his life! 🏀

Miles loves Jr Jazz.  Mostly because so many of his friends are on his team and they have so much fun together.  Tonight’s game was at 9 pm and because it was so late I almost stayed home to get the little girls to bed.  Will talked me into taking him and Mike met us there after a rare, late night at work.  I’m so glad we ended up going!  It was one of Miles’ best games ever! He played against his friend Malaki which made it even more fun.  

The teams both played hard and ended up going into TRIPLE overtime after Miles made his foul shots to tie them up in 2nd OT.  In the 3rd OT, it was sudden death and the first team to score automatically would win.  1st possession, Miles was fouled on a shot and got to shoot one and one for the chance to win...   he missed!  Will won’t stop grabbing my arm and showing me his hands because they are shaking!   The other team rebounded and ran down the court...  they get a layup and make it...  NO!!!  But wait, he walked and the referee called a travel!!  Our ball again.   Miles is fouled on his layup, but it doesn’t  matter, he made the shot!   Miles makes the winning shot for his team!   It was so exciting and fun to watch Miles be the superstar!  The final score was 34-32 and Miles had 24 points.  It was one of those games I’d give anything to have taped so we could watch it again.  Oh well, at least I got this picture of him after he got home.   He was still on cloud 9 and will be for awhile I think 😊

Our Sunsets are 👌!

The sunsets we get on the Bountiful Bench are second to none!  Pictures never come close to doing them justice, but some are so breathtaking, you have to try.   Cars were literally pulled over all along the Blvd so everyone could take it in.  It was that good! 

GNO (Girl’s Night Out)😎

The boys went to the Jazz game tonight, so the girls went out to dinner!   It was Spirit Night at Chick-fil-a so they had a couple of cows walking around.  Ivy was in heaven!  She gave that cow about 50 high fives during dinner.   😊

Grandma’s Broken Foot

Grandma broke her foot at Chick-fil-a 😫. Ouch!  She got her foot stuck under a rug that was folded up inside the doorway and went right down.  She ended up with a really bad break in her foot that the Dr said they see with cowboys when they get their foot caught in the stirrup. She has a Lisfranc break and it requires surgery.  Too bad Ivy and Grandma couldn’t have coordinated their breaks together so they could have hung out during recovery.  

We took the kids over while Grandma got a blessing. She always seems to recover quickly and well from these things (she’s had 2 knee replacements, and a shoulder replacement that she recovered remarkably well from) and I’m sure this will go the same way. 

Grandma even let the kids try out her cool new scooter.  🛴 😎   Here’s to a speedy recovery 🍻 

That’s going to leave a mark 🥺

Speedy little Ivy fell down while running outside yesterday.  Good thing Meg was with her and carried her and her bloody knees inside. 😢  Growing up is so hard sometimes. 

Bishop Dehner turns 42 🥳

For Mike’s birthday we spent the day in the Bishop’s office, cleaning it, decluttering it, rearranging it, and then shopping for some new artwork.  We still have the back wall to do, but so far it looks great!  For his birthday he picked out the picture of the Bountiful temple behind his desk, printed the ward map to add to the existing frame, and he picked out a statue of Joseph Smith to set on the table.  It feels like Mike in there.  (I wish I took before pictures... oh well) 

We rearranged these random pictures that were already in the office.  I think it was a good use of what was there.  It now feels clean and clutter free.  

Don’t worry!  We celebrated too.  We had time to go out for a birthday dinner at Mikado’s in Bountiful.  It was yummy!
