Why I didn't run the Salt Lake Half Marathon on Saturday...

I wanted to... Really I did.

I just wanted to sit on the couch more. In fact I haven't run for 8 weeks now. I have just been so dang tired lately. And unmotivated. And nauseous. And sleepy. And nauseous. And so dang tired. Blah....

Yup. We're having a baby. YAY! Totally worth feeling like poop.
Baby is due Nov 15th... (10 weeks along - 30 to go)

The past two days I've been feeling good and I actually have some energy. I think I've turned the corner. Just in time too, we move into our new house this weekend.

Crazy times. Crazy times.

Spring Break to The Happiest Place on Earth... and Sea World Too

My parents are having a big year... It's their 50th wedding anniversary and my dad plans to retire this year (we'll see about retirement.... I'll believe it only when I see it.) So to celebrate they decided to take the entire family to Disneyland for a week. It was awesome. There were 28 of us in all... Quite the bunch. Waiting for the shuttle to go to Disneyland.
Don't pay attention to the date on the bottom on the pictures... I didn't want to take my nice camera so I borrowed my mom's old one. I didn't know how to use it very well.

If you were to ask Miles what his favorite part of the week was, he'd say it was when he was chosen to become a JEDI. A handful of kids are picked out of the audience to come up and learn to be a Jedi. Miles, Morgan and two of their cousins were chosen. (Seriously a miracle - we didn't think even one person from our group would get chosen, and 4 did... It was their lucky day!!)

Learning to use their light sabers... Then they battled Darth Maul. Unfortunately I didn't get pictures of them fighting since I was taking videos... bummer.

Holding their official Jedi certificates.

I refused to go on the teacups - thanks Aunt Mindy for being a good sport and taking them.
Over-priced park food. Since Will wasn't big enough to go on the big rides I had to find other ways to entertain him.
We spent one day in Sea World. Totally worth the drive. We met Shamu...

And Mike dazzled the crowds with his mad basketball skills. He is seriously THE MAN! He won 9 stingrays stuffed animals... One for each kid. Can you see the game workers face in the second picture?? He was totally laughing because Mike just sank one shot after another. He's still got it.

The kids with their stingrays from Uncle Mike.

Morgan loved meeting all the Disney characters. They each had a little notebook and collected quite a few autographs.

All in all it was a great spring break. The kids came home with sunburned noses and rosie cheeks... definitely a requirement for a good spring break!!

Thanks Grandma & Grandpa!

It Makes Perfect Sense... Right?

Our painstaking search for shelter has finally come to an end and we are so relieved. Let me condense 3 months of searching for a home into a dramatic photographic soliloquy. Nah... I will just show you the final two. Yes, these are the two houses we decided between. All things being equal, which one would you chose?

The first one? Nope, not us. We prefer an older home with two bay window eyes and a two car garage smiley face. We also thought the railroad ties added just the landscaping feature we were looking for. What did you say Grandma, you want to come over to our house? Sorry, you can't, for the only way to get to the first floor is by walking up the wobbly non ADA compliant wood steps. Supper safe during those mild Bountiful winters.

Well, we are excited to move into Roger. We know he will treat us with nothing but love and respect. Most importantly, we know he will keep all of our family's dirty little secrets safe. What goes on in Roger stays in Roger.

More pictures to come.
