Meg the Ukulelist

This summer Meg and a few friends took some Ukulele lessons.  So cute!  

At the end of the session, they had a lovely recital.  Such beautiful little Ukulelists! 😍😍

BYU Basketball Camp

We feel so blessed that the boys got into BYU basketball camp.  I don’t know if you fully understand how hard it is to get a spot. I set my alarm for registration time and sat with my finger on “add to cart” and didn’t get distracted. The second the satellite turned to 9:00 I clicked add to cart and got them a spot! 2 of my friends were on with me and did the same thing and it was full when they clicked. It literally filled up in 30 seconds.  The boys were so happy when I told them.  Luckily Grant (who we call Bobby), who didn’t get a spot and was waitlisted, ended up getting in and was Will’s roommate.

Miles wasn’t sure who his roommate would be (his friend he was planning to go with didn’t get in). He was relieved when he got to his room and met Kaden. He was a nice, fun kid from California that I was just as relieved when he saw Miles.  They hit it off. It ended up being a good week with a lot of good memories. Miles was picked by his coach to get the All Star shirt for his team at the end of the week, that was a highlight for him! Nice job! 

Ivy- Ranchers Camp

All Ivy has wanted to do this summer is Rancher’s Camp with Emmie. It finally came!! 

Ivy laid all her stuff out the night before and made a morning checklist so she’d be all ready. 😍

She got to play with baby animals and do things around the ranch.  I think we basically paid the ranch to allow us to come do their chores. 😂😂  But it was a highlight of Ivy's summer, so I guess it was worth it.

Happy Father’s Day

We sure love this guy! I’m glad I made these perfect babies with him so they could have the best dad! (This is where the kids roll their eyes and say gross 🤢 )

I helped the activity day girls make these candy ties for their dads. I think they turned out so cute! They wrote a note on the back and filled it with candy. 

This questionnaire Ivy filled out made us laugh. My dad calls me… “for dinner”. 😂😂

Miles is a working man

Now that Miles is 16 he’s old enough for a real summer job.  Our neighbor Allen Clemons set him up with a job at Salmon Electic working in their warehouse.  We had to go buy him some long pants (he doesn’t own a single pair 😂) and some working boots.   He’s up and gone by 6:30 am and I haven’t had to wake him up once. He’s very self motivated when he wants to be and I’m so proud of him.  

When heading out on his first delivery, his coworker pulled the big truck around the back of the building and turned to Miles and said “Hey kid, do you have a drivers license?” When Miles nodded yet, he said, “awesome, I hate driving”. Then he got out and had Miles drive to the delivery.  Miles played it cool, but as a newer driver he was sweating bullets driving the truck on the freeway to the delivery. 😂😂 

He always rises to the challenge!! Love this boy!

Happy 18th Birthday Morgan

She’s like an adult and stuff. 😳

Morgan and I went to lunch and spent the entire day shopping for college bedding… (which we didn’t find by the way. 🙄)  BUT it was amazing spending the day together!  Does she really need to go off to school?  😭

The family met us for dinner and more shopping.

We all love this girl! Happy Birthday Morgan!  We spoiled her with adult things like towels and a new hamper to take to school.  It's fun being an adult!

Miles’ Club V Summer

It’s been a summer of basketball for Miles. Between the school team tournaments and his Club V team tournaments, it feels like we have basketball all the time!  We love it! 

Miles was pumped at one tournament where he ended up playing Luke Nadauld’s Springville team in the final game.  (We won’t say who won because it doesn’t matter, right?? Isn’t that what the losing team says anyway? We did only lose by a few points - close and exciting game!)

Idaho Prep Tournament: 

Vegas tournament 😎 Mike took the 2 boys and I stayed with the girls. 

Mike didn’t take many pictures, but here’s one video he took where I tried to compile a series of screenshots to give you a feel for this sweet play. 

Us girls find our own fun when they are away.  It usually involves popcorn, candy and a big screen. 😉 🍿 🍭 🎥 🥤 

💕 Happy 22nd Anniversary to Us! 💕

Our anniversary fell during the week so we sneaked out for a dinner and movie. We saw the new Top Gun Maverick movie…. That was the BEST MOVIE we’ve seen in a long time!! As soon as we left Mike said, “should we go again?”

The following weekend when we didn’t have so much going on, we went up to Park City for a little gataway.  We found a fun morning hike where we climbed up to 10,000 feet.  We felt on top of the world!!  Happy Anniversary babe!!  

Buddy Yoga

These girls crack me up! They find the best ways to entertain themselves.  Today it was yoga poses you do with a buddy. 🧘‍♀️  They were surprisingly good at it. 😂 What would do without Emmie?

Will hits Lava Hot Springs

Will’s Deacons leaders are AWESOME! They are always planning awesome activities.  This week they piled into a 10 passenger van and went to Lava Hot Springs. 😎 💦 

Will’s Officially a Teenager 🥳

Happy 13th Birthday Will!  I love this boy! 

He still loves breakfast foods most. 🥞 💗

For his birthday Will wanted to go shopping (since he couldn’t come up with a single thing he wanted for his birthday except clothes).  So the 2 of us went shopping all day long… every store we could think of trying to find graphic, vintage tee shirts.  Nothing he liked in his size. That’s just and luck! 

When we went to lunch, he picked Panda… this was his fortune. That made him feel better about not finding anything he liked, he figured it was coming. We talked about being patient 😂

We took a break from shopping and went to Top Gun. He LOVED it! 

Then we went to Dicks and Will found this jersey he wanted.  He also ordered a new phone case and some bandana shorts to go with his jersey.
