Speed... I am speed...

For family home evening last night, we took the kids to race in a kids fun run at the park. My friend Kirsten put it together, and she did an awesome job. The kids will remember this night for a long time!
Here they are getting instructions on how to race. Miles can be a little intense - I can tell he's finding his zone and getting his game face on...

The 3 year olds at the starting line...

Miles booked it all around the course without stopping to walk once...

And here he is - THE WINNER - crossing the finish line. We were so excited for him. I could tell he felt so good about himself. This is one of my favorite pictures ever!

Here he is with his 1st place medal!

Then it was time for the 4's to go... Morgan did awesome - esp for running in flip flops (come on, I'm not that bad of a mother - the flip flops had a back on them.)

My little runners. I hope the running seed has been planted... There isn't anything quite like a good race.

Here's a video of Miles taking off from the start line. I think he was determined to win from the very first step...

The Wolf

At our house we are feeling like this...

Very soon some of our favorite friends ever will be moving away from us. We have been doing our best to take advantage of our last few weeks together by spending every possible second we can together. Not only did the Nadauld's move into our basement for a week, we took a little getaway to the Great Wolf Lodge - our favorite getaway spot!

Taylor gave Miles the nickname "pretty eyes". Miles gets so fired up whenever Taylor calls him that and Miles insists that his eyes are not pretty, but awesome. I think they are both right.

The tube slide was by far Morgan's favorite part of the park. I can't count how many times they went down this slide...

The kids loved to battle the waves with the dads.

Ahhh... I know - what 8 month pregnant lady posts pictures of her belly... Sometimes I can't believe that a little person is living inside that bump. Seriously - it can't be comfortable in there...

At bedtime the lodge puts on a little production ending with Wally reading a bedtime story.

Wally's story was okay, but the one Taylor told back in the room was much better.
I am so glad we still have a few weeks left to enjoy their company, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't going to be a huge adjustment for us once they move. I can't even think about it...

OSU Airport

This week some friends and I took our bucket-load of kids to the OSU airport to watch some planes take-off/land. I can't believe I didn't know about this before now... They let us hang out in the watch tower and the kids were in heaven (esp the boys!).

We had 12 kids there all ages 4 and under (2 not in the picture above) and 2 more on the way. I'm sure the guy working in the watch tower wondered if he should speak up and tell us about birth control, but he kept his thoughts to himself.
This is my friend Joy... She is having her 3rd too - due 2 weeks after me. It's fun being prego and getting fat with a friend.

Miles found a rather large earthworm and carried it around all afternoon. My favorite part was watching the other moms and kids freak out when he'd come by them with the worm. We play with worms all the time at our house, but apparently everyone doesn't have the same love for them that we do.

If you live in Columbus, I recommend taking your kids to see the airplanes. They even do tours if you call in advance....

I look awesome...

That's what Miles said this afternoon before going to church. He also told Morgan she looked boo-tiful. I totally agree with both statements.

We waited all week for the day to come when we could visit the Easter bunny at Giant Eagle. It was exciting even though the not-so-bright lady inside the costume took her head off to get some fresh air right in front of the kids... Poor Morgan looked so broken-hearted and said, "oh, it's not the real Easter bunny, it's just some lady in a costume." Grrrrr.

We colored eggs!

Morgan said her eggs were "wicked cool".

The Easter bunny came! Sweet!

We finished off our day with dinner and an egg hunt at Grandma & Grandpa Dehner's.

We hope you had a great Easter too!
