Goodbye Old House

Sept 6th, 2017. The house is cleared out and it's our last night in our house...  The kids are both excited and sad to leave.  Luckily we aren't moving far and we'll still be in the same ward, go to the same schools and have all our same friends.  We set the kids up in the basement for one last sleepover (and they didn't have any beds in their rooms anyway!)

Some pictures of our house to help us remember.  It was good to us while we were there.

The kids are most sad about leaving the backyard.

The front porch where we always watched the sunset.  So pretty.  And that cul-de-sac, where the boys bounced basketballs all day long, is going to be a little more quiet.  We love you Vineyard Circle!

First day of school

Another school year has started! Here we go:

Morgan - 8th grade

Miles - 6th Grade (last year of elementary school!)

Meg - Kindergarten (sniff, sniff)

Will - 2nd grade

Morning hugs

Here are their school pictures for 2017. I loved how they turned out!!

They keep changing and growing every year.

Riding a bike with my Mike

My love is with running, but I have to say I've really enjoyed biking the last couple of years as cross training.  Mike and I have spent many date nights this summer cruising the blvd and climbing some hills.  I can sort of keep up with him with makes it a little more fun (and he's nice and slows down for me too).  In 2017 I put over 1300 miles on my bike.  Who would have thought.

I'll never be as comfortable as this guy on a bike (nor will I ever be as fast!), but I am happy he introduced me to it.  It's been a fun way to spend time together.

Mike even looks cute riding around on a little tikes bike :)

Big Cottonwood Half Marathon 2017

2017 was a big running year for me.  I felt like it was my year to not be pregnant, be nursing, or have a young baby to worry about.  I was able to run and train as much as I wanted and it was such a fun year.
After qualifying for Boston at The Ogden Marathon in May 2017, I decided I was going to see if I could be even faster at the St George Marathon in Oct.  So 4 weeks before St George I raced the Big Cottonwood Half (just to see where I stood).

I killed it!  I came in at 1:34 and had by fastest time yet.  (7:11 minute miles.)  Granted it was an all downhill race, but that made it that much more fun :)  Now I'm ready to nail St George in a month!
