Today I ran without my running watch or my ipod for the first time this year. It was fabulous. I usually keep a close eye on my time and my distance - because, well, I'm a little compulsive... Okay a lot compulsive. It's what those closest to me love most... I'm sure of it.
Anyway, today's run was so nice just listening to my own thoughts and the sound of my feet hitting the ground that it made me so excited to get the half over with. I want to run and not care about my time - but that won't be possible until this is over. I'm much to competitive.... with myself. That's what I love about running. It's me against me and nobody else.
Mike and I take turns running outside and the kids love to watch. The kids wait on the porch for us to turn the corner and run up the street with us. We are planting seeds here!
Notice Miles cool outfit. He's wearing his Thomas jammie shirt that is a size 2T. He found it in a box and wears it almost every night.
Here is another Miles sleeping picture. Mike was out of town taking his test to get his CCIM designation (which he passed by the way!! You're the man, babe!) so I pulled Miles's mattress into my room so he could sleep by me. I sleep better when Mike's gone having Morgan and Miles right there with me. It was like a week long sleepover!
Last night Miles had a VIP night at preschool. Here he is with his bestest preschool buddy Logan. Miles was the only kid that was too nervous to go up on stage. After missing a few songs Morgan had to walk him up. I fear my children are just like me as a kid... really shy.
Here is Morgan reading me her homework book. She can read so well. It blows me away to see how much she's learned this year in Kindergarten. I'm so proud of her. Although, I can't spell secrets to Mike anymore because she figures out what I'm saying.

This last month Morgan and Miles have been fighting like cats and dogs. I was getting really discouraged and was at my whits end. I felt like I was constantly on their case telling them to knock it off, but they just wouldn't stop. Finally this last week they were back to playing nice. I hope that remains the case.
